This web site is designed as a resource for information not just about Leonardo, but about other dinosaurs and the world in which they lived. Dinosaurs were arguably the most successful family of animals that have ever walked the Earth. They ruled the land for over 150 million years, filling nearly every niche in their environments, from small predators that ate insects, to giant herbivores devouring forests. And, 225 million years after they first appeared, we still see their descendants filling the skies on every continent.
If you are a parent or an educator, you know the true power that dinosaurs present us with today. The ability to capture a child's imagination and opening the door to a greater understanding of the natural world.
This site is provided by the Leonardo Project LLC, through the contributions of the many scientists and educators who participated in unlocking the secrets of the dinosaur mummy.
